The National Institute of Open Schooling is built for learners who study largely on their own — from home, alongside sport or work, or after a break from school. That freedom is also the hard part: there is no class teacher setting the pace. A regular lesson with the same tutor puts that structure back.
Lessons follow the NIOS self-learning material for your child’s subjects at Secondary (class 10) or Senior Secondary (class 12) level, and plan towards whichever public examination they are sitting.

How a lesson runs
Your child brings the lesson of the NIOS study material they are on. The tutor explains it, works the intext questions and terminal exercises with them, and keeps a running plan so the whole syllabus is covered before the exam date rather than in the last few weeks.
Every lesson is live on video with a real tutor, in a classroom that opens in the browser on a phone, tablet or laptop. Lessons are never recorded, and learners under 18 need a parent’s permission before their first booking. What parents should know

Starting rates, exclusive of GST; 18% GST is added in addition. Group rates are for classmates from the same school and class. The exact rate for a subject is confirmed on your account before you book, and nothing is charged until a lesson is booked.

Yes. The tutor teaches from the NIOS self-learning material for each subject, lesson by lesson.
Can the tutor do my child’s Tutor Marked Assignments?
No. The tutor can explain the topic and what each question is asking for, but the assignment must be your child’s own work.
Which levels do you teach for NIOS?
