Cancellation and Refund Policy
Version 2026-09-28 · In effect from 28 September 2026
How paying for lessons on Edunara Tutoring works, what happens when you cancel, and when money is and is not refunded.
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. The short version: lesson credit is non-refundable, a lesson that went wrong is put right as credit, and we refund money only in the few cases listed below.
How paying for lessons works
- Lessons are paid for in advance. You add lesson credit to your account (online, or by arrangement with us), and each lesson you attend is charged from that credit.
- You are only charged for the minutes actually taught, never for the length a lesson was booked for. A lesson you cancel in time, or that never takes place, costs no credit at all. The credit simply stays on your account.
- Online payments carry GST at the rate shown before you pay, and every online payment gets a GST invoice. Only the credit reaches your balance; the GST is paid to the government.
Lesson credit is non-refundable
Money paid to us as lesson credit is non-refundable. Once a payment has gone through, the credit stays on your account to be used for lessons. It cannot be refunded to your card, bank account, UPI or wallet, paid out as cash, or moved to another person’s account. This applies to the whole payment, including the GST shown on your invoice.
Please add only as much credit as you expect to use. Your credit does not expire while your account is open.
If a parent or guardian paid for a learner under 18, these rules apply to that payment in the same way.
When a lesson charge is wrong
If a lesson did not happen as it should have (your tutor did not turn up, a fault on our side cut it short, or you were charged for time that was not taught), tell us. There is a link at the foot of your Billing page. Pick a reason, describe what happened in a couple of sentences, and we will check it against the session records. You can raise one request at a time, within the window shown on that page.
If we agree, the amount is put back on your account as lesson credit, ready for your next lesson. It is not paid out to your card or bank.
We would rather sort a problem out directly than have you go to your bank or card issuer, so please come to us first. While a payment dispute raised with a bank is open, we may pause new bookings on that account.
The only times we refund money
We refund money to the original payment method only in these cases:
- You were charged more than once for the same payment, or you were charged and the credit never reached your account. We will refund the duplicate or missing amount.
- We stop offering lessons altogether, or we close your account for a reason that is not a breach of our terms. We will refund any unused credit.
- The law requires us to.
How a refund reaches you
- Write to support@edunaratutoring.com from the email address on your account, with the payment date and amount or your invoice number.
- Once we agree a refund, we issue it through Razorpay to the card, bank account, UPI or wallet you paid with, usually within 7 working days. Your bank may then take a few more working days to show it.
- We issue a GST credit note for any refund of an online payment.
Cancelling a lesson
- You can cancel a booked lesson free of charge up to the cut-off shown on your booking screen. No credit is used.
- If you miss a lesson without cancelling, you may be charged for the time your tutor waited, according to our no-show setting, which may be nothing at all.
- A free demo lesson involves no payment, so there is nothing to refund.
