Who can use this

• Learners of any age may hold an account, but anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to approve it before they can book a lesson.
• Tutors must be 18 or over and are approved by us before they can teach.
• One person, one account. Do not share sign-in details or let someone else use your account.
• If you create an account for a child, you are responsible for what happens on it.

What we provide

We connect learners with tutors and give them a classroom to work in: live video, text chat, a shared code editor, a whiteboard and file sharing. We are the platform, not the teacher.

Tutors are responsible for the teaching itself. We approve them, review their sessions and act on complaints, but we do not guarantee any particular result from a lesson.

Booking, attending and cancelling

• Lessons are booked with a specific tutor at a scheduled time.
• Cancelling is free up to the cut-off shown on your booking screen.
• If your account is awaiting guardian approval, you will not be able to book. This is not a fault.

What you pay, and how it is worked out

You are charged for the minutes actually taught, never for the length the lesson was booked for.

• If you and your tutor were both in the classroom, you are charged for that time at your rate for the subject.
• If your tutor was there and you were not, you are charged according to our no-show setting, which may be nothing at all. Your tutor is still paid for waiting.
• If neither of you opened the classroom, nobody is charged anything.
• Rates shown on the platform are exclusive of GST. Goods and Services Tax, currently 18%, is added in addition, as required under Indian government rules.

What decides your bill is whether you were both in the classroom — not whether the video worked. Chat, the code editor and the whiteboard all work on their own, so a lesson taught without a camera is a lesson taught.

If a charge is wrong

Tell us. There is a link at the foot of your billing page. Pick a reason, describe what happened in a couple of sentences, and we will look at it. You can raise one request at a time, within the window shown on that page.

We would rather sort a problem out directly than have you go to your card issuer, so please come to us first.

How to behave

Children use this platform. That shapes everything below.

• Be civil. No harassment, bullying, discrimination or threats.
• Nothing sexual, violent or otherwise inappropriate — in chat, on the whiteboard, in shared files or on camera.
• Do not ask a learner for personal contact details, and do not arrange to meet or communicate outside the platform.
• Do not record, screenshot or share a lesson without everyone in it agreeing.
• Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share.
• Do not attempt to get around the technical protections on the platform, or access an account that is not yours.

If you are worried about a child’s safety, tell us immediately at support@edunaratutoring.com. We will act on it, and we will involve the authorities where we should.

Your work stays yours

Anything you write, draw or upload belongs to you. You give us permission to store it and show it to the other people in your lesson, and nothing more. We do not use it to train anything, and we do not sell it.

The platform itself, its name and its logo belong to us.

Suspending or closing an account

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly anything touching a child’s safety. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

You can close your account at any time. Some records — billing, and the fact that consent was given — are kept for the periods set out in the privacy policy.

Tutors: how you are paid

• You are paid for time taught at the session rate, and for time waiting at the waiting rate.
• We may withhold payment for a specific lesson where there is good reason. You will always be told the amount, the reason and who decided, and it appears on your earnings page.
• If you disagree with a withholding, write to us. We will look at it again.

What we do not promise

We work hard to keep the platform running, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable. Where a lesson is lost to a fault on our side, tell us and we will put the billing right.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian consumer protection law, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

Each version of these terms carries a version number and a date, both shown at the top of this page, and we record which version you accepted when you signed up. If we change them materially, we publish the new version here rather than edit the old one in place — check the date at the top if you want to know whether anything has changed since you last read them.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
